Question Hour glass runs and wont do anything on boot

Hello, I have a Emachine (Cant remember Model # due to being at sons house) and I have a question about it freezing up. Just recently it was booted up and it will go threw the startup of windows home and take you to the desktop and it shows all the desktop icons ect. but the hour glass never goes away and the PC wont do anything but sit there like something is trying to load. I had tryed Ctl/Alt/Delete and that wont come up eather. I had booted it in safe mode and ran a antivirus software and everything is coming up fine. Please help....

Thanks,
Chad

Your correct on assuming something is trying to load as this would be my guess too.
What you can do is boot into safe mode again, go to the System Configuration Utility and check to see what is loading. You can chose at this point to disable unwanted startup programs while your in there.
Click Start/Run and type in msconfig
Click the Startup tab

What do I have to leave alone in the startup to keep the machine running? Thanks!

Well here is another problem now. My X brought it over and I pluged it into my spare monitor I have extra and I get nothing on the monitor. So I plug it in to my PC monitor and I get nothing. The PC is running but with a black screen. Any ideas now? I swear she could break a 1" thick slab of steel.

Yes this is an issue......

Considering you just moved the pc from one location to another something may have become dislodged inside the Chassis. Open it up and make sure all the connections are tightly fitted
