I try to format hard drive and it says detect IDE automatically and stops with a blinking curser. Never saw this one before. Any ideas.

Hi If you go into the bios will it detect the hard drive there? did you format the drive what happen exactly?

I formatted the hard drive and the computer shut down to restart. I loaded the audio driver and that worked, Then i shut it down for a while to eat. When i restarted it it gave me the above message. I get the following message:
PXE-E23- BIS Inialization failed
PXE-E61- Media Test Failure- Check Cable

Loading boot image failed.

I found the problem. It was the network card that caused the problem. I removed the card and it straightened out ok. Ordered new card. Thank you alol so much for your responces. They did help.
