Have you thought to try the Notepad for reading REG files?
As for the REG_BINARY values, Windows C:\Windows\regedit.exe should do the trick.

I mean converting it into ASCII or readable words so to speak. Is there any software that can do that?

I believe Registry commander might work Aezay Productions HP -> Aezay Software -> Registry Commander

Hmm it was working but is not anymore, sorry.
You can get it from Download Registry Commander 1.04.3054 - Registry Commander is a replacement for the registry editor that comes with Windows - Softpedia
