Default Reboot issue / PLEASE help

I have a emachine computer with XP installed on it where sometimes after being on for a little while it will automatically just reboot, only it won't do the windows shutdown process, it just reboots. I replaced the power supply and it still does it. When I tried to update to SP2 about 5 minutes into it, it reboots.. And after searching the web for just a little bit it does it.. any one have any idea what this could be?

i think it is likely that it is overheating. open up the case and see if there is a lot of dust on the CPU heatsink and fan. also, just to make sure, is the cpu fan spinning?
