So I'm playing WoW, and sometime into the game the computer decides its goin to shut down....for no reason...its done it twice today, both times I'm playing WoW. But I honestly dont think WoW is the prob.

here are my system spex....let me know if you think there could be an instability issue.

I'm out of ideas. I think it could either be the game, a virus, or my processor is goin to ****.

Default Re: Mysterious Shutdown

Heya CGJones,

Try running Prime95. It is a free stress test program. When you install it, a prompt will come up when you open it, click Just Stress Testing. Then within the program, start a torture test and when you set the test up, choose blended test.

Let that run for an hour or 6. It will basically max your CPU and memory and warm up your unit. If it runs for a while and doesn't shut down, then you know it is not an overheating or CPU/memory problem.

Does your unit shut down during anything else other than WoW? If not, try reinstalling WoW.

Hope that helps!
