I have updated to the latest BIOS version which is 1.3
2 things--

1-- HOW did you update that BIOS ? was it using software within windows ? Or download to a floppy disc and reboot?
The reason I ask is that the "live update" apps are often buggy for BIOS changes-- I prefer the slower-but-surer old way.
2-- Can you also give nme your chipset version?

Sorry for the late reply --I was experimenting with installing Ubuntu as a second OS on my own PC-- want to try it out.

I did use live update before and it worked fine. It was just till recently that i had to reflash to try to get rid of that message but still won't have any effect.
Chipset drivers are 5.11a.

OK-- maybe they have imrpoved that software (I HOPE so)
have you thought of reflashing back to a previos BIOS?
If you had an earlier version--and it ran good-- and the only thing you've changed is the BIOS-- there may be an unknown conflict.

I have seen this with "Beta" BIOS files at ASUS website... so it could happen.

I will see what I can find on MSI support.

I find nothing about that board/bios/chipset that should be any problem--
The only things I can think of are:
was your antivirus software active when you updated the BIOS

<OR>

did you try using the jumper to clear your CMOS settings completely...?
Page 14 of your manual.
This board is very similar to my ASUS--except for a different BIOS-- and I had an odd issue like this one-- once --many years ago.
Ended up having to clear the CMOS settings that way

I have closed everything (antiviruses, etc.) when i flashed my bios, and it worked just fine.
Yesterday, i tried to clean my motherboard from any dust and replugging everything else and removed the battery to clear the CMOS for about 1-2 hours.
Still no luck.

Did you use that jumper? It is specifically to clear all CMOS data... there might be residual stuff in there.
