Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] cmos checksum error posted in the Operating Systems forums; I still get the error, even though I have replaced the battery. What can i do about this?...

Is there a code or number with the error?
Please write down the error/code (if any) or capture the screen an post it here.

OK... you have not changed the Processor, correct?
When your CMOS battery died -- it will default the BIOS to it's 'failsafe' settings.
In order to fix it you might have to manually reset a few things in the BIOS
... it might be easy-- I could not see what BIOS you have from the picture... there could be a general "optimized settings" switch in there-- if there is try that, save it and reboot.
Have you ever been in your BIOS--?
Usually at boot you press "delete" until the screen says "loading setup"
There will be a bunch of options for config in there-- it would not hurt to read the manual on your motherboard for best config options.
I have to go to work-- I''ll be back on a in a couple of hours -- or you could ask one of the other techs-- if you are unsure.

I didn't change my processor.
Yes, i've been many times in my BIOS and I always use the default settings.
And yes, i have tried to load the optimized defaults and still no luck.
I have tried flashing my BIOS yesterday but still no effect.

AND your BIOS maker (Phoenix/Award/AMI) and the exact version ?

My Mobo is an MSI P4MAM2-V
with a BIOS type "AWARD"
and AWARD BIOS TYPE "Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00pg"
I have updated to the latest BIOS version which is 1.3
