Default [Resolved] Need To FIND!!!

what is wrong with my computer!!!
It has been playing up for a few days now and i still havent found the cause of it. I dont know if it is a hardware problem or a software problem and i dont think its a virus or spyware since i've scanned a few times.
Every bootup from the past few days has taken an abnormally long time, loading maps in games takes up to 3 times longer, lag in game, music in iTunes sometimes skips, lag when running simple applications such as iTunes and Internet Explorer. I am not getting laggy when i am doing anything major but as soon as i want to go into my computer, iTunes, Internet Explorer at the same time it will stall for a bit for example.
I do not need to update since i have a fairly decent pc specs - E6600 2.4ghz, 2gb ram, gigabyte 7600gt, 965p-ds3 mobo. CPU usage doesnt look very abnormal and neither does RAM (24% average).
Please help me find the cause of this problem, or at least tell me how to find it. Do i need to reformat or what?

Hey there and welcome to PCHF

If I were you I'd take a quick look to see if it's not overheating, though I don't think that should be an issue since your system seems rather new (but you never know).

I would also suggest you do the Pre-Work, found here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...html#post88795

Once the pre-work is out of the way and posted and one of the PCHF staff members takes a look at it, they'll be able to help you further.

Though would you mind posting and attaching a dxdiag log for me?

Well, looking at it, your video drivers are outdated and potentially your sound drivers are too, so I would try updating those, they probably won't fix it but it's better to rule that out first.

You can grab the latest drivers for your card at Welcome to NVIDIA - Graphics Cards, Motherboards, Notebooks, Desktop PCs and your motherboard manufacturer should have updated audio drivers up for grabs as well.

Do you recall installing anything new shortly before your computer started showing slowing downs? Any errors? (I feel like a doctor... next thing you know I'll be asking you if it's breathing correctly lol )

Your dxdiag doesn't show any problems. Have you done the pre-work?

Also, your operating temperatures are fine, they can go as high as 75 degrees Celsius before any problems start cropping up

Alright, I'm not qualified to give you any feedback on the pre-work part but the PCHF staff will take care of you when you post it

Good luck
