Unhappy Monitor flashing at startup
My monitor and the monitor start button flickers & flashes upon turning the computer on, no picture appears. I can stop this by hitting the top of the monitor a time or two. Then it is perfectly ok, no trouble until the next startup. Everything is plugged in good & tight. Is the monitor preparing to die?

Hi there and welcome to PCHF!

Is the monitor a CRT? Have you tried replacing the video cable for it?

No, monitor is a Dell flat panel, about 3 years old.

Have you tried contacting Dell and seeing what advice they have? I've never encountered this sort of issue though I would hazard a guess that the monitor is getting ready to ****** out
