Hello Everyone, I'm Allan new member, complete novice.. I've been trying for nearly 5hrs to ask a question,some advice thats all, i don't want to buy anything, i just need advice...! Can i explain&see if you can help me.?.... I tried to repair Adobe 6.0.1 from add/remove, when i was finished i was asked to restart computer now or later:: i choose later,,,, I also repaired Windows Media Player from add/remove panel,, then asked.. 'Do you want to Restart your Computer Now or later?'.. I choose NOW.. The PC restarted as usual, but after 20 mins i still had no 'DESKTOP PAGE' nothing was happening, i couldn't even turn it off with on/off button. I unplugged it tried again to start it, still nothing.... I am now able to access my PC in ' SAFE MODE with NETWORKING ' .. I've tried to uninstall the 2 programs i mentioned but the Windows Installer doesn't work on SAFE MODE.... Could anyone tell me how i can access my PC other than SAFE MODE...??? I am working with:- Windows 2000 profesional SP4.. I hope that's not to long winded. i am a novice after-all.. Please could you help me get back into my PC to put things right..? Hi Allen and welcome to PCHF, i have moved your problem into a new thread, because it can get confusing if you post in an existing thread for staff to help.

Could i request that you follow the pre work link in my sig and post the logs as attachments for our security team to look at.

Dont worry about the directions in normal mode, as im aware that you cannot access Windows normally, try to perform these steps in Safe Mode.
