Windows XP/2000 - my xp loads up slow posted in the Operating Systems forums; my comp is brand new, AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual core 6000+ 3GHz , 2GB of RAm my computer works fine however when the windows logo witht he bar moving ...

my computer works fine however when the windows logo witht he bar moving accross comes up it takes ages to load like about a minute, why is this? can anyone help please

What version of Windows are you using?
Do you have any external devices such as an external hard drive plugged into your PC?

i am using XP PRO version 2002 SP2 , na no external hard drives, i only have my internal sata 2 drive and thats it.
anyone help please????
