Go to control panel > add or remove programs
Then select all symantec programs you want to uninstall and hit the remove button. It will uninstall the programs automatically.

Hi all I am getting desperate. I need to scan important papers and keep getting error messages when trying to re- install scanner software. ( had previously accidently deleted the Smart Panel) When I try to re-install I get the mesage shown above. I removed symantec from "add and remove programmes" and still get the same message. I have used the same Epson software before with no prob. I have an Epson Twain programme installed showing .96MB but my software shows 260MB so something is missing from there, hence the re-install attempt.
