Default [Fixed] need help with windows xp folder options....

Hi I need help with my folder options, from the tools menu...
when I go to My Computer I go to my Tools menu and I don't see my folder options in the drop down menu. It's like it dissappeared. I was wondering if anybody can help me figure out how to get the folder options to show....I'm trying to get all my hidden files to show...

thanks very much.

Hi and welcome to PCHF

You're going to have to edit the registry...are you comfortable with that?

Here's how it goes...

Start > run > type regedit (and press enter)

In the left hand pane, find the following:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer]
then find "NoFolderOptions" - double click on that entry and set the DWORD "NoFolderOptions" to 0 or just delete it.
