SAFE MODE

After pressing F8 continuously, I will be directed to a list of "boot" multiboot, i.e., realtek, maxtor, etc... How can I have a safe mode? thank you, and then return to normal mode in XP.

Hi Amazing_race, welcome to the PCHF

You're pressing F8 too early. You need to wait until just after that multiboot screen would come up, and then hit F8.

Once you've done this, it will give you a list..Safe Mode...w/ networking...w/ command prompt.

To boot back into windows normally, just reboot your computer.
