Default A hello and a question

First, to be polite and courtious, let me say hi to all of you out there in PC land. I am new relatively new to computers, but I do some repair and building work. Which brings me to a problem.
I have recently replaced a motherboard and CPU. The finished computer works very well except it has a problem I can not understand.
It has a ethernet built in and works great on my broadband connection, but for some reason does not seem to work on another high speed connection. I repaired it for the senior center I belong to, and it wond receive info on their connection.
I have no errors and the PC says all is working correctly. If anyone has ideas, please tell me. I am at an old mans wits end.

Hello Austin, welcome to PCHF.

Please can you give us some information about the network at the center compared to your home network? Do any other PC's have this problem? How many PC's are connected at the Center? Are the PC's part of a domain? How does the network connect to the internet (including hardware makes and models), as much information as possible.

All the computers at the center are on this WAN. All work fine including the one I built for computer class. The only difference is I put an administrative pass word on this computer as requested. At our center their are 4 PC connected. Yes, I believe it is a domain. The computers connect thru a modem and a cat 5 cable connection. Thats all I know for sure.

Admin password is fine. This problem PC has been added to the domain right? When the PC is connected, can you do the following for me:

- Go to Start, Run and type in cmd
- From the command window, type in ipconfig /all
- Right click on the title of the command window and go to Edit followed by Select All
- Right click again and go to Edit followed by Copy

Paste the contents into Notepad, Word or whatever you have available. When connected back the the internet properly, can you paste the contents back here?

Can you also do the same from a working PC?

Per your request i have done as requested. Thank you for your patience, and your help.
I printed out the IPCONFIG files as requested from the working computer and checked it with the non working computer. I see the following differences, and there are very few. The list will be working computer followed by non working unit:
HOST NAME.....:Long-redi8p882z Austin-q3ph523x
PHYSICAL ADDRESS....:00-16-17-72-4A-88 00-19-DB-62-CC-CA
IP ADDRESS....:192-168-35-44 192-168-35-16
Other than this its identical. Again Thank You

Thanks for that Austin. Well that's showing that you have a connection, and that your DHCP server is giving you an IP address which means you have connectivity. Not sure what is going on there, but I definately need more info. What exactly are you trying to connect to, such internet, mapped network drive, network printer? And what exactly happens when you try to connect?
