hi, i recently reformatted my computer and now i can view shared files on other peoples computers, but no one can view the shared files on mine. any ideas?

Have you checked that the files/folders you are selecting to share are actually share enabled? How to configure file sharing in Windows XP

So, in that case you're on the same networking subnet. Can you check the following on your PC and another one on the network;
Start > run > cmd (enter) > ipconfig /all (enter) Make sure that your networking configuration matches theirs. Also, who have you given rights to on the folders you are sharing?
