Exclamation Language bar disappeared :(

I can't get my language bar to appear in the taskbar. I have installed correctly traditional chinese, which i want to type in, but i can't get it to work, because the language bar doesn't appear in the taksbar. i go to regional and language options, push language bar, and check the boxes that say, "Show the language bar on the desktop," and "Show additional language bar icons in the taskbar." I push ok until all the windows disappear, and nothing happens. I've also read that right clicking the taskbar and going up to toolbars and selecting "Language Bar" would make it appear, but when i do that, there is nothing that says language bar. I used to have the language bar, but i took it to circuit city, and whoever fixed it made it disappear or something. i have already looked at microsoft.com on how to use the language bar, and nothing seems to be working. please help!
Thank You!!!

Question Re: Language bar disappeared :(

I had a similar problem; I was working on a machine for a lady that only spoke El Salvadorian spanish. The language button was there, but when I tried to change it to English, it would check that one but everything stayed in traditional spanish. So I just had to make do with that language; wasn't too hard since I understand alot of it but it's easier in your traditionaly learned language when you are working on advanced options. Hopefully someone else has had a similar problem with the language bar that can fix your situation.

Default Re: Language bar disappeared :(

first of all you need to make the language bar appear in the taskbar to be able to change it. because I had the same problem when I installed the arabic language on my computer. try this :
go to START > CONTROL PANEL > REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE OPTIONS > Click on the LANGUAGE Tab > the on DETAILS > ADVANCED > then Unckeck the following : EXTEND SUPPORT OF ADVANCED TEST SERVICES TO ALL PROGRAMS
TURN OFF ADVANCED TEXT SERVICES.

if this doesn't work, go to START > RUN > Type : " CTFMON " then Ok .
or go to this path C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and double click on CTFMON.

good luck to you
