Windows XP/2000 - what is logonui.exe? posted in the Operating Systems forums; hi ive had my computer for just over 2 years now and ive upgraded to keep up a bit but im getting an error when i start up my computer ...

Default what is logonui.exe?

hi

ive had my computer for just over 2 years now and ive upgraded to keep up a bit but im getting an error when i start up my computer it gets through to where the welcome screen should be and gives me an error about logonui.exe and i have no idea what that is i was wondering if anybody knew what that meant and where i should go from here and i need my computer because im going to college currently and cant go on without it. should i just re install xp even if i can get to my desktop using the task manager and explorer.exe. also am i going to have to re enter my produst key even if i just repair the files using the xp cd. some one please help me out im out of my ideas so im open to suggestions

Welcome to PC Help Forum

LogoUI.exe contains the graphic interface to be shown when user login on the LOCAL machine. If it is missing or corrupt, you can carry out a repair install of XP.
