Hello, Ok so ill get to it
I deleted an account, but the files are still on my computer: and I cannot access My Documents or Start Files But i can get into every thing else.. if not i just lost like 200 bucks cause of all my iTunes stuff on that account

if you are sure that the folder still exists then you can access them by the default administrator login.
start you computer in safe mode by pressing the F8 button while your PC starts up, then when your windows loads up, you will see an administrator account login to that, you can access those files now

Hi FCBJ,
You'll need to take ownership of the files in the new account to get at your files. If you are running XP Home, restart your computer in Safe Mode and log in as Administrator. Then goto My Computer and goto Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> ensure that Simple File Sharing is unticked Then follow the steps located here ![]() How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP

Ok thanks Guys i will try this.. but will i be able to access My documents and Start files since i cant right now? or just the ones that i can get in

Hi FCBJ...They are indeed the same thing...with a small difference.
In XP Pro, you don't need to be in safe mode, and you don't need to be in the administrator account.
