I can only tell you what it say's and when I reboot I get mouse initialized with error underneath it, and 2BO: Diskette drive A error, then hit F1 to enter BIOS or F2 to continue. I just wanted to know if there was a way for me to check my motherboard myself before I went to the expence of a motherboard. I am disabled I live on a limited income so I dont have any extra money, if he told me wrong on how to do that could you tell me the right way, Thank you.

I worded that a little different than what it actually says, it say's F1 to setup or F2 to resume, Sorry and Thank you.

Hi kharley, thanks for that

To be honest, it sounds like the floppy or the floppy cable is faulty.
You can try replacing the floppy drive, or just removing it completely - either works well.
To bypass the error message so it keeps on booting without a problem however, go into the BIOS (F1) and select the Standard BIOS Setup (or similar)

Once in here, you will see an option "Halt on Errors:"
Change this to None, and you won't be required to press anything.

I did replace the floppy and the ribbon, that didn't work so I completely took it out and set the floppy to disabled in the BIOS and still got the error message, Thank you.

If it's disabled in the BIOS - there should be no error message.
I never use floppy drives any longer, and I never receive a "floppy drive not detected" sort of error.

Do you have a digital camera, by any chance, to take a photo of the BIOS screen for me?
