I have took the battery out several times but it still did the same thing, I even replaced the battery still does the same. I tried something today I was told to do to see if maybe it was my motherboard, I was told to disconnect all the drives to my system and try booting with nothing hooked up but my HD and power supply. I did this and still get the same errors I was told if I did this test and still got the same errors it would more than likely be my motherboard is this correct, Thank you.

The voltage readings posted make no sense. They should read something like this in both SpeedFan and Everest:
+3.3V: 3.28V
+5V: 5.02V
+12V: 11.84V
Vbat: 3.34V

What are your voltage readings ?

It is physically impossible for the CPU temp to be lower than the motherboard temp. They should be something like:
HDD: 26C (hard disk drive; only some drives have a sensor)
Temp1: 19C (my particular motherboard)
Core: 26C (CPU internal temp)

Readings from SpeedFan should very, very closely match those from Everest, if not be identical.

What are your temperature readings ?

Hi kharley,

I'm not too sure who gave you the information saying if you disconnected everything and got the same message, it would indicate the motherboard...this sounds very backwards.
If your motherboard can't find the mouse and keyboard to begin with, and then you unplug them...of course you're going to get the same message

Onto your problems however. The original issue with your Hard drive is an unrelated one from the sounds of it, and was fixed by you getting a new one.

Can you tell me the exact message that you're getting, which is making you press F2 to continue?
It will help out greatly

@AMD - if you press the power button when it's off...it will turn the computer back on again, not clear the charge of the PSU

I don't care what "Merlin" says!
What CPU/Core temperature does Everest or Speedfan say ?
Post your results.

What are the voltages reported by Everest or Speedfan ? Post your results.

There could be a RAM problem. You can fully test the RAM by using Memtest86. Download the ISO image file and burn it to a CD using Nero, Roxio or CDBurnerXP Pro. Make sure your PC's BIOS is configured to try to boot from the CD/DVD drive before it tries to boot from the hard drive. Your system will boot from the disc and Memtest will start running automatically.

Menetest86 should report no errors in 3 complete passes. This could take some time.

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

CDBurnerXP: Downloads

If any errors are found and you have multiple sticks of RAM installed then power off, uninstall all but one stick and retest each until you locate the bad stick. Bad RAM can not be repaired. However, if you bought the RAM yourself keep in mind that most reputable RAM companies have a lifetime replacement policy on all their products. You will need the original purchase receipt or an electronic copy of it.

Electronic receipts:
I buy computer components on the web. Shortly after the purchase the seller emails a receipt to me. I then "print" it using a free print driver called CutePDF that converts any printable document into a PDF file. I store the electronic receipt in a separate web purchasses receipt folder. This way I will always be able to take advantage of "lifetime warranties". When returning a failed component, I print out the PDF file to a hard copy printer and ship that back to the manufacturer along with the "RMA" code (returned merchandise authorization) number supplied by the manufacturer and the component. I get a free replacement for the cost of one-way shipping. The manufacturer pays for delivery of the new part to you.
