Default Trouble Deleting Files

Hey I am new and seein if this site will work for what i am going through. I have deleted an account on my computer but the files are still on my hardrive, and whenever i try to delete these files i get a message saying: Cannot Delete Documents Acces Denied Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and make sure that this file is not currently in use. It says that even though i am the computer admnisistrator... can anyone tell me whats wrong?

Howdy FCBJ and Welcome to PCHF

Boot into safe mode by pressing F8 upon rebooting...Sign in as ADMIN,, now you can delete all those files..

If you are still having problems let us know

Hi FCBJ.

When to press (start tapping at about 2 taps per second, actually) F8 is a matter of timing. Start tapping after the BIOS' POST (power-on-self-test) but before Windows starts to load. You may have to restart several times to find the timing.

If you miss this timing window let XP start all the way up normally and then restart.
Do not turn the power off or reset the PC while XP is loading.
