No, I don't have a fan near the monitor and the monitor is an LCD. I have a fan near the computer though, due to the fact the graphics card was being a problem.

Who is the manufacturer of your card? Is it from Abit?
Have you tried the drivers that came with the installer CD of your video card rather than the latest downloadable drivers?

Howdy.. Download ATI Tool from my signature, once downloaded open it up and click "Scan For Artifacts" And let it go untill it stops.. If it stops very fast this means your gpu is on its way out.

Hi,

Thank you guys for your responses.

@ Zeldascorn: I have an ATI Radeon X600XT graphics card. It is from ABIT, and I've tried to use the CD and drivers that came with it on the computer with no luck.

@ merlin: I downloaded the ATI Tool, but when I went to run "Scan For Artifacts", it came up with a message saying, "Error During Direct3D Init."

Does that have anything to do with DirectX??

Well, thank you guys for your help so far! Really appreciate it!

Should I just get a new graphics card?
