I had some spyware on my computer recently, but I got rid of it with AVG and something called Combofix. I've been getting problems since then though.
My computer won't shut down or hibernate. It just stalls on that "windows is shutting down" screen (or whatever it says) until I turn off the power to the pc.
Also, turning my computer off seems to delete all my cookies.
Neither of these problems happened before I had the spyware or even while the spyware was on my system, so I'm assuming I damaged something else when I got rid of it.
Also, this is probaby unrelated since it happened at a different time, but I got a BSOD recently and now whenever I restart the computer I get a "The system has recovered from a serious error" message, asking if I want to send an error report. If I choose not to send it (or if I do send it) the message closes, then pops up again after a second. I just have to leave it in the corner of my screen because it won't go away.
