I wonder if anyone can help.

All of a sudden my desktop icons are very slow to load. I get my bar down the bottom with buttons etc on but the actual icons on the desktop can take up to a minute to show after that.

I am using a Pentium D Processor - Windows XP and not sure what other information you need.

have you run the HijackThis Logfileauswertung program ?

Oldboy is right, however instead can you follow the prework link in my signiture and post back the resulting 3 logs. Then our security team will be able to analyze them and help you from there
If you need any help with the prework just ask and someone will guide you through it.
