hi, i noticed earlier when checking my pc specs after getting it brand new, that in the control panel/system it says i only ahve 3.25gb of ram when i have 4gb , and the bios acknowledges that.

Hi,

Can you tell us the exact make and model number of your PC - it may be that the RAM is being used by onboard devices such as a video card etc...

Ahhh...ok.

XP 32-bit will only recognise 3.25GB RAM..64-bit XP will recognise the full 4GB....as will Vista

No.It can only recognize that much.If you weant its full use then you might want to get x64bit or Vista.

well not today... just bought xp home again which turned out to be a waste so ill have to wait for vista prices to drop i guess... if they ever
