I have three computers that run off a modem and router. I have been told this is a network and I can be the administrator and control the computers and see what kids are doing online. Where can I get some instruction on how to set up a network on "computers near me"?

Hello Galveston,
It sounds to me you aren't necessarily trying to be a remote administrator of their computers. That is not a simple 3 step process or anything. What I think sounds like a good solution for you is a program like Webroot Child Safe. That program is basically what it sounds like. It is parental control software.that lets you keep track of your children's computer usage. This link will show you a full list of features - Child Safe Internet Monitoring Software - Features & Benefits It is $39.99 retail and you can install it on 3 PCs and have unlimited users per PC. Which sounds like it will cover your whole setup. Hope that helps!

Thanks Wadd, I think you are right and I will do that. I am also interested in learning about administerig these computers if I can find a tutorial. I can't even get started with the F1 directions.

You're going to want to go to college to learn that kind of stuff rather than read an 800 page "tutorial"
I'm sure Webroot Child Safe will do more than you're hoping for.
