Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] ip adress posted in the Operating Systems forums; can any one help i got a vires alert from nortons about a trojan inbound and the ip adress read like this (none-9122debf8d(78.58.131.233),1042) witch is the same as my ip ...

can any one help i got a vires alert from nortons about a trojan inbound and the ip adress read like this
(none-9122debf8d(78.58.131.233),1042)
witch is the same as my ip exsept the 1042 what dose the 1042 mean? dose it mean i have a vires on my pc or dose it mean that some one local is trying to hack my pc? any help please

i forgot to say it was a bla trojan it says the local address service it 1042 dose the 1040 mean a local port on my pc

i am sory but i do not know how to do that.but all i need to know is what the 1042 meens at the end of the ip address becase if it meens a port or proses on my pc it meens a trojan had got on but norton got it but if the 1042 meens another pc my pc had been attacked localy thanks for the reply

Nothing to worry about-- it lists the active processes so that a trained security analyst can look for bugs-- there are many things that do NOT get caught by conventional methods.HJT is the only tool that will catch some of these things-- and it takes a while to get good enough to be certified to use it.
Nobody here is ALLOWED to analyze-- unless they are in fact certified to use it

1 Nobody here wants anything personal of yours (No offense)
2 To my knowledge nothing personal ever shows up in those logs
3 If someone wanted to steal anything from you-- I doubt you could stop them (no offense)-- a detemined/intelligent hacker can break a Bank's security...never mind your software firewall.

check some of the "fixed" posts-- and you can see how the process works.
NOTE: Some of the nasties out there can ONLY be removed via a process like this-- unless you are a programmer-- and can hunt down virus/spyware components manually.
