Hi all
Just wondering why is it the received email in the inbox date is different from when i actually open the mail date? (example in inbox it says 20/sep/2007 and when open the same email the date is 17/sep/2007

can some1 explain this to me and how to fix so that this dont happen again, as
sometimes my client send me important documents that have a critical date.

Hi kevin111.

Before opening the email the date shown is when the message was received by your ISP.

The date inside the email is when the sender mailed the message to his ISP.

Some ISPs are slow to pass along emails (yes, even by 3 whole days).

Your ISP received that email 3 days late.
