Windows XP/2000 - [Pending] Outlook Express problem. posted in the Operating Systems forums; A friend of mine is having a problem with outlook express. It receives ok but he can not send or open his mail box Has anyone seen this before? Thanks...

Default [Pending] Outlook Express problem.

A friend of mine is having a problem with outlook express.
It receives ok but he can not send or open his mail box
Has anyone seen this before?

Heya Rosss,

If he can receive e-mail, but not send, then his profile settings are incorrect somewhere. I would suggest calling the company he has his e-mail account with and go through all the settings to make sure everything is set up correctly. If there is an error when he sends, have that error information handy and let the e-mail provider know. Also, if he does have an error message when sending, post it in here and I'll try to research it for you.

If everything checks out ok, I would then suggest uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook express and then deleting his profile and setting it back up.
