Default [Pending] windows registry?

With regards to my eariler post, "http://www.pchelpforum.com/windows-xp-2000/38491-open-tab-function-right-click-mode.html"

I have found out that my recently installed AutoCAD 2008 DWF viewer was the culprit behind the loss of 'open' option in the right-click menu. Thus i was wondering how does this software corrupt or re-wrote m windows xp sp2 registry?

Secondly, eariler on i have also notice that in my dvd writer - sec ide slave icon was also missing the 'open' option. Noticeably when i has installed UltraISO that option vanished from sight, upon uninstalling i found the function to be back. So for a permanent solution to both my queries would be to?

Default Re: windows registry?

Hi can you try this for me at the command line in cad type FILEDIA and enter a value of 1 this should fix the New, Open and Save dialog problem.

If that didn't work try this in cad

1: Enter CUI command;
2: Expand Customizations in All CUI Files;
3: Expand Shortcut Menus->Default Menu in the tree-view;
Than you can add any desired function in right-click menu.
