Hi I recently bought three acer computers and i am having a problem with an error that happens on all three. As soon as the computer boots up, every now and again the computer will automatically restart. After looking in the event viewer I get the following message:
Details
Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 1003
Source: System Error
Version: 5.2
Symbolic Name: ER_KRNLCRASH_LOG
Message: Error code %1, parameter1 %2, parameter2 %3, parameter3 %4, parameter4 %5.
Error code 10000050, parameter1 e27e1000, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 80539313, parameter4 00000001.
Does this mean anything to anyone? Im assuming its a driver problem or something but I cant figure out which as the all seem up to date anyway. There isnt much on any of the PCs other than office and windows updates.
I also get the following error message in event viewer which tends to follow the other.
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
i8042prt

Hi Phil, welcome to PCHF.
From the details you've given, your almost there. Can you follow BSOD's on my signature. It describes how to post a dump/log of this error in more detail here. |

No 1001 events?
The x50 stop error shown above is normally caused by faulty memory, but without the files to analyse further, I can't say for definate. The best way to test for faulty memory, is by using memtest: - If you have a floppy drive and a spare floppy disk, please download: http://www.memtest86.com/memt32.zip - If not, please download, unzip and use nero to burn this image: http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-3.2.iso.zip |

Hi Phil,
How often does this error occur and what are you normally doing at the time? Also, can you have a look in the folder c:\windows\minidump to see if there are any recent log files there? If so, can you attach some of them here? |
