I just added my LCD TV as a second Monitor.Everything works well as a monitor.....Until I try to play a downloaded avi File Using VLC media player. The audio works fine But the Video on the TV Blanks out after a few seconds. Is there anything else I need to do to get my PC-VLC Player, and my TV to talk to each other.Or will my TV not accept the signal VLC puts out.Hope someone knows about this subject.Be thankful for any advise. BB Have a Goodin
It may be that the monitor cannot handle the resolution--
it may be a setting in your Video-software-- or in the player itself.
You would have to check the rated resolutions/refresrh rates for the TV
Computer monitors and TV's are not exactly the same-- while they advertise some TV's as "monitors"... they aren't quite up to the tasks a computer monitor would be.
Agreed. I've got programs at home that will run fine on my primary monitor, and fail misserably on my secondary.
However, Windows Media Player works perfect. Give WMP a shot, and if it still happens, then we may have a possible problem that we'd be able to fix
Friend GaRHar.I thank you very much for your advise.I tried WMP and the same thing happened. I then tried playing a Store Bought DVD through my Computer to the second Monitor and it worked perfect. Thanks again Have a Great Day BB.
