Default [Pending] usb port problems

hi can anyone help me. My pc is not recognising my usb ports. I have tried the troubleshooter but it says there is nothing wrong. I was going to try to update the drivers but cannot get onto the internet. I phoned aol and they say that there is no problem with that. So i am at a loss as to what to do.

Did you receive a CD with your PC? If not, you're going to have to do a couple of things;

1) Find out the make and model of your motherboard (http://www.pchelpforum.com/your-pc-detailed-info/) or PC.
2) Go to the manufacturers website and grab the correct chipset drivers - we can help you with this

AOL...pah!
