Hi Guys

I have a fairly new pc which has been used very seldom. when i got home yesterday i had the blue screen of death showing and when i rebooted it said boot disk failure. I am booting from my hard drive. what could be the problem as i have stuff on the drive i really need.

Hi Kevin,

If you're not too familiar with computers, I'd suggest taking it to a computer shop and say "can you please recover my data please?"
If you are familiar...remove your hard drive, plug it into another computer...and try to back everything up.

It sounds like you'll need a new hard drive

Unfortunately, aside from fans, hard drives are the most common things to break, due to the fact they're the only piece of moving machinery in the computer these days...

If its a Branded PC, you should have a warranty.
