Every time I try to print,a message shows:spool service needed to be able to print??
It hapend after I installed a Software,I Uninstalled,same error is showing,runing Windos XP Media on DELL desk top Dimension E510.
How a fix this problem(pls),any help highly appreciated.

Hi welcome to PCHF--
sounds like the software uninstall disbled your print spooler
Start/Run
type: services.msc... hit enter

about halfway down --entry called "print spooler" double click it
should be enabled & on automatic-- if not-- change it.

DEAR FRIENDS,AFTER I DID FOLLOW:..INSTRUCTIONS..START/RUN/DID TYPE services.msc... STILL HAVING THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE (AND THE SPOOLER SERVICES..WAS ON AUTOMATIC.)
ALSO I DID RELOAD PRINTER'S DRIVERS,TRYED TO INSTALL THE PRINTER,
BUT I GET SAME MESSAGE:...SPOOLER SERVICES NOT RUNNING!
any help?..anyone?

Give this a try, go to Start> Run> type 'CMD' (without the quotes) and press enter, then type 'net start spooler' (without the quotes) and press enter again.

DEAR FRIENDS I'M STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM,AFTER I DID:START,RUN,(typed) cmd,then I( typed)net start spooler, on the second(typed),got this error: system error 1068 has occurred.

Nelson... please don't use all caps when posting-- it is viewed as "shouting". We will help you if you will be patient. We are all volunteers here-- and have jobs/families/etc.


I think your best choice at this point is just to uninstall/reinstall your printer-drivers. Something may be corrupted in the installation. This will reset all your printer's settings to their defaults-- most software only takes 5 minutes and a reboot.

What brand of printer is it-- if you don't have the CD we can download it from the maker's website. Need to know Operating System too... XP/Vista/2000 ?
