right click on the icon, go to properties, and see where the target path lies. Follow that in windows explorer, and delete all that's there. Also check the add/remove applet for anything from thinkvantage.

What error do you get when you try to delete it?

thanks,

v

When I right click on it, the only option it gives me is to run the program. When i try to run the program I get this error:

Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\ThinkVantage Productivity Center.lnk'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search.

what error do you get when you try to delete the icon? Also, what OS do you have? XP, I assume?

thanks,

I have no way of deleting the icon. I don't know how to delete icons other than right click, then delete. But the icon doesn't even give me that option. And yes this is XP. Is there any other way of deleting icons like that other than right click, delete?

Well, that depends. Again, what error does it give you? You can download unlocker from majorgeeks.com, that's a nifty little tool that everyone should have on their machine for those recalcitrant items that refuse to get lost.

thanks,
