Im trying to reinstall windows xp on a satellite 1805-s207 and when i go into setup to take off the password ,I clear the password and save & exit but at reboot the password still shows up.I have tried all the various ways of getting it to boot off the cd rom by changing the order in the bios and then also pressing -ESC or F12,F1,F2 etc...nothing works.Toshiba offers no online chat ,only ask iris which has not helped .I'd appreciate any help with this .Thanks.

There may be a "recovery partition" --which is a blocked sector on the harddrive-- to make it easy to restore the original config.

There is a bulletin on a similar issue-- if the restore CD is not recognized-- it probably won't install (restore CDs are a pain)
