the manual that came wit hthe power supply i bought was anything but helpful. it had one picture and that was to shwo how to change it fro ma 24 pin to a 20. and the missing copper insulation thing was in the new power supply i bought not on the motherboard

Yes-- I'm sorry-- the term "pinout" applies to any connector/plug-- anything that connects one thing to another--
there is usually a diagram-- with color-coded wire diagram-- explaining what pin or socket in a connector goes where-- and what it does

yeah it didnt have one...but ive tried differnt combinations of the connectors to plug into like the dvd and hard drive and i put the smaller connector into the floppy spot. is there like a certain place to put this 4 pin connectors? like do the yahve to go with certain things or does any 4 pin connector work with anything?
