My graphics card has two DVI slots, my screen has one DVI and one AGP slot. I have been using DVI since I got the comp, about a week ago it stopped working. Now I have to use the AGP slot with a DVI adapter. A few days ago I was trying to install XP on my 250GB HD, I installed and started it up and computer restarted and gave me a disk boot failure error. I reinstalled and got the same results. I then installed on my 500GB and everything worked for about 2 days. Yesterday I turned on my computer and not only did I get a disk boot failure error but my HD started making noises like the discs are rubbing together. My computer is less than a year old and I am completely lost as to what is happening. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Ok, you're going to need to get those drives into another PC to test them - then use this tool on the MAxtor drive: Seagate Technology - SeaTools for Windows End User License Agreement

..and this tool on the WD drive: |MG| Free Download - Western Digital Data Lifeguard Tools 11.2

These tools will test the serviceabilty and health of the drives. With the results we can look at other options.
