Default [Pending] Video Capture Card issues

Greetings.

I am trying to set up a home security video rig, and have bought an inexpensive bt878 based 4-channel video capture card.

All was sweetness and light once I found some drivers that worked without knocking out my audio card, and the video was working fine.

Suddenly, with no explanation, all I can get from the video feed into any application is a blue screen. No new software has been installed in the period between it working and not.

I'm pretty sure this is not an external hardware issue and I have already ruled out overheating.

Anyone got any tips for what might fix this please?

Thanks for the replies.

I actually have a wireless receiver and some wireless cameras, and the reason I am confident they are working is that I can plug the video output straight into my TV and all is fine.

There is definitely something causing the video capture card to mute the video to blue but I am completely stumped.

Maybe someone's waiting to break into our house and has broken all your cameras when you weren't looking. *shifty eyes*
