Default [Pending] Show hidden files and folders

Hi,
i have encountered a problem with allow myself to view all the hidden files and folders in my computer. Though i am logged in as an administrator, i am unable to view the hidden files and folders. In addition after i tried to check the unhide the hidden attributes for the various folders, the option just automatically changes back to default. is there any other way to view them, as recently i was bombarded with heaps and tons of trojans and virus and i need to clear them at their source thus requiring me to see them. i hope that someone would care to enlighten me thanks!

Hi please try this

To see hidden files:
1.
On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
2.
Click the View tab.
3.
Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Note To access Windows Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.

i have tried to my wits' end, logging in as administrator to access the above mentioned steps but still to no avail. Furthermore, assumingly you are the administrator you would have the rights to access all folders and files. But i was denied access by the computer for accessing one of my own folders where the virus was seeking refuge. How may i resolve this tricky matter?

The malware (malicious software) that you have on your computer may be preventing you from accessing the folder you are speaking about.

May I point you to the Prework link below. The Prework process usually helps in resolving all malware-related issues. If your problem is not resolved yet after the Prework, please post here again with all the requested logs. We'll then be able to take care of the persistent stuff.
