At least now I can put the HDD into a P-3 IBM laptop which has a CD-ROM & stiffy drive which is making things easier. The funny thing is, I do not get the error whent starting the Windows 2000 setup on the IBM machine.

I have got to installing xp but now get the message "The file 'Asms' on Windows XP Professional CD-ROM is needed"
I checked MS article 311755 but still can't seem to fix it.
Any ideas?
