I started downloading Windows XP and it worked fine until I got to the screen that says Installing Windows and Installing Devices, it got about 2/3 of the way done with the devices and the screen went black I had to manually shut it if and start again. And again it did the same......any advice?

Hi there, did you confuse downloading and installing or is this a disc you have downloaded from the internet?

Hehe, don't worry about it, I had to ask because of the site policy with pirated software and such.

How long did you leave it? It is normal for the screen to go blank for a while during device set up as it tries to install graphics drivers and such it is really nothing to worry about unless it is staying like that for a long period of time.

I 'm not sure how long it was but I will try it again. How long should I wait? BTW Thank you sooo much for your help I feel lost.

I'd say give it 10/15 mins, it doesn't usually take this long but this is just to make sure we have a problem and it's not just trying to install drivers...

OK I am installing it again now and it just shut off again so I'll let you know in about 15 mins.
