Hi there!

I have to run out for a while pretty urgently, I have informed the tech team and hopefully they will pick it up while I'm gone. If not I shouldn't be too long.

Sorry about this.

Alright, sorry about that!

If you could run a memory test, just leave it running for a hour or so and tell me the error count.

This is how
  • Boot the computer from UBCD
  • Select Mainboard tools
  • Under memory tools(or similar, I foget exactly where) start memtest96
  • Just leave it running for a hour or so and note down the ammount of errors
This is kind of time consuming but you don't have to watch it, it will be fine on its own, this is just to rule out the possibility it may be a problem with the RAM.

Thanks

Can you tell me how to run the UBCD, everytime I turn it on it goes right into trying to restart the XP installation, It won't give me the option to start using the cd. I'm sorry I know I'm being a pain ....I just don't know much about computers and thought that when I bought this I could just Install Windows and it would be ok. But thank you very much for helping me.

Check your Windows CD for marks or scratches - also washing a CD with soap, water then drying with a paper towel can do the trick.
