Default [Fixed] error message

Hi, I recently encountered this when running Sonar Producer 6.21, a DAW app. I was told this is a prblem in SP2. Can anyone tell me how I might fix it, as I downloaded SP2 - not from a disc. The file is actually an error handling issue, not fatal error as labeled. Thanks!, Shep

Hey there mate, I haven't used sonar so I can't really offer anything specific but a few things you could try:
  • If you have connected any new hardware, remove it for now.
  • Reinstall sonar if at all possible.
  • Run sfc /scannow with your XP CD inserted[You may need to do a windows update again]

Hi - I ran scannow, it didn't show that there were any repairs made... I am unsure if there's anything else to do. Please advise and thanks, Shep

Guess what - it worked! I simply hadn't restarted Sonar yet, as I wanted to ensure I'd done all I needed to. Thank you very much. By the way, if you are considering running any DAW stuff, Sonar 6.21 is very good. I started at S5 and am very pleased with this version. Take care, Shep

Nice, thank you for the advice, I am just getting in to the audio side of things (mainly so I can record properly when I play :P) and up to now I've only used Cubase (a year or so ago for some basic recording work) and Audacity which is nice for a free app but somewhat limited.

Glad you got it fixed.
