Hi all,

My laptophas recently started running very slow and a quick check of the Tast Manager revealed that its running very high with CPU usage between 40% and 100%.

Ive got several spyware programs which ive ran and its not picked up anything.

My AOL program seems to be using about 69,800k which seems high ans I also have 2 processes called svchost.exe and CCAPP.exe which are both using around 25,000k each.

The "svchost" process is duplicated about 6 times on the processes list with the others running about 6,000k each.

Any ideas anyone?

Ive just realised that on the power settings, my computer had defaulted to level 1 CPU speed, effectively 1/4 my Laptops processing power. Ooops!
