Hi there and welcome to PCHF, if you go into Internet Explorer, and vlivk on Tools, then Internet Options, then click on LAN Settings, make sure the "Automatically Detect Settings box is ticked. Ok your way out, then close and re open Internet Explorer.

Hello Halofreak Welcome to PCHF

If Madgamer's advice doesn't work, you may want to contact your internet service provider and/or Buffalo to make sure there aren't any specific settings that you have to use in order to get internet access.

Some internet service providers just use all the automatic settings. However, with some, you have to put a user name and password and other such options when you set up your router.

It seems that your network card is connecting to your router and assigning you an IP address, which is a good sign. The one thing I did notice is the IP address for the default gateway, DHCP server, and DNS server is 192.168.11.1. The usual address for those is 192.168.1.1. Did you manually enter that address in? Is that the address you have you use when logging into your router to make changes? Try pinging 192.168.1.1.

We will see from there Welcome again.

That seems strange. I really can't put my finger on that problem. Your router is assigning your computer an IP address but you can't ping your router. You even got webpages to load but only until you rebooted...

I have a feeling your network card or router may be defective. But honestly, that is just a guess. The details just don't make sense.

Try pinging 127.0.0.1. That will at least test if your network card is functioning. Which I can't imagine it isn't.

I'll have to think about this a bit more.
