Default [Pending] Second hard drive help.

The other day, the music files stored on my second hard drive dissappeared. All I had on this second hard drive were compressed music files. Now when I open up my music folder, it takes longer than usual to load, then it shows as if it was an empty folder. I never made any changes to this folder, all i did was play the music in it. Any help on how to get my music back would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

to PCHF.

Two thing come to mind.

First, access the Properties of the second drive.
Under Tools tab, click on the Error-checking Check Now... button
Place a check mark in both boxes. Click on the Start button.
You will have to reboot to complete the process.
This will confirm that your drive is functioning correctly.
It might find your missing file.
You might do this with your C: drive as well. It can't hurt.

Second, click on the Pre-Work link in my signature area and follow the direction.
Let see if you have something on your computer that made the file go away.

Good Luck...

If the Pre work and scandisk show up clean, you could try using Recuva (from the makers of CCleaner). Its a free file recovery piece of software: Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File Recovery - Download
