Question [Answered] Dell C610 laptop - enable 56K and DSl ?

Dell C610 laptop - Win2000PRO - enable 56K and DSl ?

I think I got 56K ability also when I bought Yahoo DSL, but a place I go to may have 56K and not DSL, (hospital, motel, office bldg, etc.). Can I configure this laptop to do DSL or dial-up by just going in and clicking enable or disable or something? or also Wireless if I buy a plug-in card?

Thanks
Gal

Hi,

The C610 has a LAN port, an internal modem and yes, you can plug in a PCMCIA or USB wireless adapter to get wireless LAN networking. If you need help setting up any of this just ask

Dell C610 Laptop enable modems

Thanks Hengis. I want to be able to use it at home on DSL, on the road with DSL, wireless or dial-up if that's all that's available. I guess I need to know how to enable one while disabling the other two. It's looking like it doesn't want to allow a dial-up to be installed when you are configured for LAN.
Thanks
Gal

You could simply go into device manager and disable/re-enable the modem or network adapter accordingly.
